About

Swing Music is a music streaming server you run yourself for your local audio files. It serves a browser based player on port 1970 and has a companion Android client for streaming from your phone.

It is aimed at people who keep their music as files and want a Spotify-like interface on top of it, with automatic daily mixes, metadata cleanup, album versioning and listening statistics. It supports multiple users, crossfading with silence detection, and runs on Windows and Linux on both x86 and arm64.

Key features

  • Daily mixes curated from your listening activity
  • Metadata normalization keeps the library clean and consistent
  • Album versioning with labels like Deluxe or Remaster
  • Related artists and albums
  • Folder view to browse the library by directory
  • Crossfade combined with silence detection
  • Collections to group albums and artists
  • Multi-user support, listening statistics and Last.fm scrobbling
